Manufacture your products for waste and environmental treatment processes
Mixing is required for the treatment of waste or contaminated soil in order to achieve homogenization or the desired physiochemical characteristics.
Stabilizing sludge with lime is a typical example. This process increases pH levels which in turn reduces bacterial activity and has a positive impact on smell. It also increases the dry solids (DS) content of this sludge while reducing the mobility of trace elements (metals…) thanks to the chemical reaction triggered. Sludge from WWTP is often treated in this way for use in agriculture.
Other processes include the treatment of contaminated soil such as petroleum contaminated soil which involves adding various active elements during the mixing operation.
The treatment of RPIFHW (Residues from the Purification of Incineration Fumes from Household Waste) such as ash or filter cakes also requires mixing operations. Dumping is only authorized after RPIFHW have been stabilized and solidified by mixing with cement and additives.

Our MPS twin-shaft mixers with overlapping paddles for continuous processes and our MIC blade mixers for continuous processes are ideal for these applications.
Both mixer types can perform high output mixing operations.
Our MIC continuous paddle mixers are very suitable for these applications. They allow to realize mixing actions at important flow rates.
