Paints and varnishes are used to protect, decorate or improve a surface.
Paint contains binders, solvents, additives (siccative, antifungal…) and powders: pigments and extenders (calcium carbonate, talc…).
In the case of water-based acrylic paints, the binder is an emulsion composed of water and acrylic resin or polymers.
Printing ink is made up of 3 types of constituent: pigments, the vehicle (resin, oil) and additives.

Reactors/dispersers for paints and varnishes
Our SOFRAMIX reactors/dispersers have been designed to undertake dispersion operations with all types of solid extenders in liquids, and so are extremely well suited for the manufacturing of paints or printing ink. Our reactors/dispersers can be equipped with heat exchangers and our fully automated Clean In Place (CIP) system which ensures perfect cleanability of the vessel.
